CAAV - English Schemes Briefing - Recorded Webinar 2023

£48.00

PLEASE NOTE – While useful preparation, listening to Recorded Webinars will NOT count for tutorial certificates for an examination application.

With the application windows for Basic Payment and Countryside Stewardship to open soon, the CAAV is running its annual briefing webinar to focus on what is happening with the main schemes for 2023.

England’s Agricultural Transition is now well underway. 2023 sees 35 per cent taken from Basic Payment which will be in its last year as a land-based scheme before de-linking. Lump Sum Exit claims are being made, January’s announcements on environmental land management schemes spend that money with:

- the Sustainable Farming Incentive add six further standards to the three opened in 2022, with some options brought over from Countryside Stewardship

- Countryside Stewardship developing in place of Local Nature Recovery and over time to meet its objectives with revenue and capital rates revised

- the next round of Landscape Recovery opening

- HLS now having five year extensions and able to have by CS agreements alongside

- all schemes now administered on English rules for inspections and sanctions.

Farming Investment Fund productivity grant schemes are being offered while interim schemes such as Farming in Protected Landscapes and the English Woodlands Creation Offer are in place. The first Slurry Infrastructure Fund has opened with more to follow.

If decisions are announced on other schemes or delinking, these will be covered.

Speakers include:

  • Jeremy Moody, CAAV
  • Simon Lunniss, RPA
  • Steve Marston, Natural England

with speakers from DEFRA

  • Jonathan Marsden
