Work Experience

Work experience is a chance to see something of the work of an agricultural valuer, whether meeting clients, reviewing problems and business on the farm as well as in the office.

Many firms, large and small, can offer work experience. It can only be a snapshot of a varied life but offers a taster to find if this work interests you.

It may be for a week, perhaps a shorter or sometimes a longer period, and likely to offer work shadowing with client meetings and other business. This will be for the firm to organise.

Afterwards – If the experience interested you in going further:

  • the contact with the firm might lead to other opportunities where they need help
  • look at the variety of university courses as the main route into the profession.
