Avian Influenza: Restrictions on Bird Gatherings in Wales Lifted

With effect from 16th February 2024, the Welsh Government has lifted restrictions on gatherings of galliforme birds (such as pheasants, chickens and turkeys). A general licence for captive birds or poultry, as the case may be, is required.

Restrictions on gatherings of anseriforme birds (such as ducks, geese and swans) remain in place.
