DEFRA Website Updates

The majority of minor updates to DEFRA's schemes and guidance are made to the existing webpages, with the update then noted at the foot of the page. To check what has been updated, users of the guidance should click 'See all updates' in publication details at the head of the relevant webpage. For example:

Updates Example

Where members have printed guidance for a particular scheme, then they should be sure to check if anything has subsequently changed when they are preparing new applications. This will be particularly relevant for schemes with a rolling application window, such as the Sustainable Farming Incentive. A recent example is the guidance on the interaction between the SFI and other government schemes. Today (3rd February) some Environmental Stewardship items have been removed from the list of compatible options, while others have been added.

Updates to DEFRA webpages are noted in regular email alerts. Members can subscribe here for the daily or weekly mailshot: Get emails from GOV.UK - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk). Alternatively, for instant updates, members can subscribe to the RSS feed (available by clicking 'Subscribe to Feed' under the section Latest from the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs on the DEFRA home page). Email alerts and RSS feeds are also available from different Government departments, such as Natural England, DLUHC and the Forestry Commission.
