DEFRA confirms Bluetongue in County Durham

DEFRA has announced today (10th September 2008) that Bluetongue has been detected on premises near Bishop Auckland, County Durham. This is the fourth occurence of Bluetongue being found in animals imported to the UK from the BTV8 Restricted Zone in Germany and involves 18 cattle.
