Northern Ireland EFS Higher Level: Applications Open for 6th Round

Applications have opened for the 6th round of the Environmental Farming Scheme (EFS) Higher Level. EFS Higher Level provides annual payments to help bring designated environmental sites under favourable management. Funding is directed to areas such as Special Areas of Conservation (SACs) and Areas of Special Scientific Interest (ASSI), and other areas of priority habitat.

Applicants can review eligibility on DAERA Online Services, under EFS. Fields for each farm business will be marked as either Higher or Wider Level. Only those businesses with eligible ‘Higher’ fields will be able to submit an EFS Higher application.

The deadline for application is 13th May. More detail is available online.
