The Norfolk Estate - West Sussex - Resident Agent
A new and exciting role has been created to manage the Norfolk Estate at Arundel, which comprises 7 000 acres. Centred on the town of Arundel, it includes commercial and residential property interests, a substantial in hand farm, let farms, forestry and renowned shoots including the Duke of Norfolk’s wild grey partridge project at Peppering Farm.
Working closely with the owners, this presents a resident agent with the opportunity of helping to manage this estate and meet the challenges and extensive opportunities that the future holds.
A hands on resident agent who is qualified as a chartered surveyor is sought with the necessary range of skills and experience to manage this diverse estate. These will include the ability to lead the estate staff, to handle all tenant and property related matters together with an affinity for the natural environment and its management. With sound financial acumen he or she will have responsibility for the financial performance of the various elements of the estate business and will have both an ability to analyse investment opportunities as they arise and to report concisely and with precision on all aspects.
Being able to adapt to changing circumstances, to respond efficiently to matters as they arise and to communicate effectively with all interested parties will be key. Acting in an ambassadorial role, the chosen individual will engage with the local community, representing the estate in the public arena and ensuring that the high regard in which it is held is maintained.
A competitive package will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their experience. This will include housing on the estate.
