National Trust - Surrey - Estate Manager
Salary: £50,000pa negotiable
A fantastic opportunity for an Estate Manager to take a lead role with the National Trust in Surrey working on the unique River Wey and Surrey Hills portfolios which comprise a diverse mix of traditional agricultural, residential, and commercial tenancies and have a huge amount of untapped potential.
We are seeking a dynamic and commercially astute individual to play a leading role in developing and implementing estate strategies to unlock value from these diverse rural property portfolios, with responsibility for influencing and shaping the plan for their future.
The successful candidate will be MRICS qualified with:
- A proven track record in rural estate management, including experience and knowledge of land use, agriculture, asset management, land management, conservation, and sustainable development.
- Ability to identify future commercial opportunities for the portfolio through demonstrable strong asset management skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and powers of persuasion and negotiation to be able to work with Tenants to deliver the Trust’s desired outcomes on areas around carbon sequestration, biodiversity and wildlife gain, regenerative agriculture, and public access.
- Energy, drive, and self-motivation, able to consistently apply professional and commercial judgement.
