Hub Rural Ltd is a rapidly growing rural consultancy practice, with clients predominantly based in the East Midlands with a few outliers around the core area. We focus on Land agency and Farm Business consultancy, and team members also hold an increasing number of non-exec, trustee, chairperson and mentoring roles amongst our client base. Typical clients are big and growing agri-food businesses, family and corporate farmers & landowners, estates, and other entities with rural assets at their core. We are early adopters of IT; we always use software to improve the efficiency and consistency of our processes; we are cloud based, rapidly becoming paperless and have software written for us where we need a solution to a situation the market does not provide. We are identified as problem solvers who get jobs finished, we are not orthodox by comparison to our competitors and have been described as market disruptors, by the sector we serve. We turn quite a lot of work down where we fear that it will distract us from looking after our core clients. In most cases, we agree retainer fees as the basis of our remuneration, which encourages our clients to embed us in their strategic and operational thinking and management teams.
We are looking for someone to join us to cover the increasing amount of land agency and/or farm business consultancy work we are being offered; it is likely that as a minimum;
you will be a qualified surveyor [3+ years] or
have 5+ years business consultancy experience or
other relevant consultancy experience in a rural environment
These are minimums, so please do not get the impression that this is precludes you if you are further through your career.
You will be;
commercially aware and possess common sense
familiar and comfortable with IT
willing to work in teams and independently
tenacious, resilient, and approachable
Given what we have learnt around working differently via the impact of Covid19 combined with modern IT, subject to agreeing a minimum amount of time in the office, we are open to you working remotely from anywhere in the country [within reason]. Dependent on your personal objectives, we could create a role that is not full time or has very flexible working patterns.
