Harper Adams University is based just outside Newport in East Shropshire.

The main undergraduate courses of interest to aspiring CAAV members are likely to be: -

BSc(Hons) Rural Enterprise and Land Management (REALM)

BSc(Hons) Rural Property Management (RPM)

Both of these courses are four year full time sandwich courses which include a one year professional work placement. The courses are accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and allow students to enrol onto the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC). The placement year will normally count as the first year of professional experience required for the APC.

Harper Adams University also works in partnership with employers in delivering their BSc (Hons) Rural Enterprise and Land Management degree via a Rural Chartered Surveyor Degree Apprenticeship route over a five year period. This offers students the opportunity to complete an RICS accredited degree and their APC whilst gaining valuable work experience with their employer.

For postgraduates students, Harper Adams University offers: -

MProf / MSc Rural Estate and Land Management

This RICS accredited course can be taken full-time for a year or part-time over two/three years. The course facilities part-time study through block delivery, teaching each module across a single week. Part-time students in relevant work can also enrol on the RICS APC and record work experience concurrently with their academic studies. Full-time students can enrol on the APC on completion of their course.
