Wales updates on TB eradication programme progress

Rural Affairs Minister, Ellin Jones, has provided an update on progress with the implementation of the TB eradication programme in Wales.

A key initial element is the "TB Health Check Wales" which will see all herds across Wales having a one-off TB test over a fifteen month period starting from 1st October 2008, with testing due to be completed by 31st December 2009. There are also to be improvements in biosecurity and the time taken to remove reactors from farms.
