Scotland's Environmental and Rural Services launched

The Scottish Government announced the launch of Scotland's Environmental and Rural Services (SEARS) at the Royal Highland Show on the 20th June 2006. Its aim is to reduce duplication, bureaucracy and overlap and in turn deliver greater efficiency, effectiveness and speed of delivery by developing a "one-stop shop" for rural land managers and farmers.
