DEFRA announces voluntary approach to Bluetongue vaccination to continue

DEFRA has today announced that the voluntary approach to vaccination against Bluetongue serotype 8 is to continue. There had been discussions about the possibility of a compulsory vaccination strategy, but this has been rejected in preference to continuing with the voluntary approach in 2009.
