This is where you come in…

We have an exciting permanent opportunity for an Estates and Land Manager to join our team at our Head Office in Warrington, Cheshire. You will be responsible for leading a team of Land Agents and project staff in helping to manage our estate and tenants across a 56,000 hectare landholding day to day. You will also play a key role in identifying and delivering opportunities for small scale tree planting, alongside larger woodland extension and creation schemes, biodiversity enhancement and Natural Capital, and you will work closely with our Catchment Teams to enhance the visitor experience. You will also represent United Utilities on wider national working groups and with external stakeholders.

What will you focus on?

Being a land management subject matter expert you will work closely with our Environment and Asset Strategy, and Planning and Ecology Teams to help develop policies and strategies, alongside developing and being the delivery lead for these strategies through the United Utilities Land Management Plans. You will also identify suitable partners and bid for new funding streams where appropriate to maximise scheme delivery,

What do you need?

To succeed in this role you will be qualified to degree level in appropriate land, environmental or agricultural discipline and have relevant land management experience and ideally hold membership of a relevant professional body.
