Job description:

The Gorhambury Estate is a traditional rural estate located on the edge of St Albans. An opportunity has arisen for an Office Manager/Estate Secretary to work closely with the managing agents and estate team at Gorhambury House and act as a vibrant ambassador to The Gorhambury Estate.

The Role

Responsibilities will include:

  • the day to day running of the Estate office;
  • assisting with the management of the Estate team in areas such as HR, aiding the team with house maintenance issues;
  • aiding the refurbishment programme of Gorhambury House to include interior design;
  • personal secretarial duties to the family including finance and other administrative support.

The Person

The successful candidate may have experience of working on an Estate or be working towards your MRICS/AssocRICS looking for a change. An association to the RICS is however not essential. Key attributes we are looking for in a candidate include:

  • Highly organised, thorough and efficient;
  • Computer and accounts literate;
  • Personable and friendly;
  • Able to work on your own initiative and in a team;
  • Able to multi task, prioritise activities and time.
