Job description:

The Church Commissioners Property Investment team is responsible for a portfolio worth over £2 billion which includes commercial, rural and residential property, as well as strategic land, commercial forestry, infrastructure and indirect property investments.

A unique opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Rural Asset Manager to support the Rural Team with the management of the diverse rural property portfolio comprising 100,000 acres across 45 estates and valued at over £600 million.

The Position

The successful candidate will have an innovative and hands-on approach to estate management and will assist with the following responsibilities:

  • Delivery of asset management and agreed strategy ensuring optimal performance on Estates, with the assistance of external consultants
  • Assessing initial viability of existing small development schemes and new investment opportunities
  • Sales of residential property, estates and land
  • Assessing cost-effective initiatives such as renewable energy and higher value land uses

The Candidate

  • MRICS with approximately 1 - 3 years post qualification experience and a proven track record in rural asset management
  • Dynamic and self-motivated with the initiative and drive to deliver results
  • A team player, reliable, friendly, with excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships
  • Organised, able to multitask, and prioritise activities.
