Job description:

An opportunity exists for either a Graduate or newly qualified Chartered Surveyor to work within the Estate Management Team in Lincoln. 

This role is principally to assist with management and professional work carried out in respect of our rural estate clients.  The precise details will vary depending on the nature of the work being undertaken by the department. This is a position which requires a high level of self-motivation and drive to build up detailed rural surveying knowledge and good contacts. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Estate management focussed with private and institutional clients
  • Property management and administration including lease renewals, property maintenance, negotiation of leases and compensation claims amongst other tasks
  • Preparation of management reports
  • Residential and agricultural lettings and rent reviews
  • Record keeping and terrier maintenance in relation to managed estates
  • Liaison with contractors and estate staff in respect of the maintenance and repair of managed estates
  • General liaison with clients, tenants and other stakeholders of managed estates, on a face to face basis as well as via correspondence and on the telephone
  • Research in respect of professional work (including valuations) and company records
  • Administration within the department to include assistance at meetings and with marketing tasks as required
  • To liaise effectively with other disciplines within the office
  • Additional tasks as may reasonably be required from time to time

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Recently qualified or committed to completing RICS APC and MRICS accreditation
  • Self-starter with proactive and resourceful capabilities
  • Able to problem solve effectively
  • Strong planning and organisation skills
  • Highly developed communicator
  • Computer literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Confident networker with the ability to make a good first impression
  • Able to work individually or as a team player
  • A desire to progress and generate new business
  • Resilient, adaptable and enthusiastic
  • Has a full driving licence and access to a car for business purposes
  • Able to prove eligibility to work in the UK
