We have a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Land Agent to join our friendly Estates Team here at Peel L&P. The role will provide support to the Estates Director in the management of the Estates Portfolio extending to circa 15,000 acres.

This role will manage agricultural, commercial, residential and amenity property, including property both let and managed in hand. Maximising income and managing costs whilst delivering development sites for other areas of the Group.

The successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of traditional Land Agency, Rural Estates Management and Development Projects across the national portfolio.

The successful candidate will be tasked with effectively and efficiently managing, monitoring and maximising the value of the rural element of the national property portfolio including agricultural, residential and rural commercial properties.

Our ideal candidate will be commercially aware, have sound knowledge of UK and EU agricultural and land use regulations and have an excellent understanding of RICS regulations including code of conduct and ethical behavior.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent industry-recognised qualification - MRICS and/or FAAV status is preferable
  • Sound knowledge of UK and EU agricultural and land-use regulations/legal framework
  • Sound knowledge of UK agricultural, residential and commercial law, including planning law and access, rights over land and health & safety law
  • Good understanding of commercial and environmental issues in the rural economy
  • Understanding and awareness of the property market and drivers of value
  • Able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • Tenacity to see matters through to completion
  • Ability to communicate and build strong relationships at all levels
  • Attention to detail
  • A full UK driving licence would be preferred as travel is required
  • A proportion of time will be spent visiting sites across the country, travel and occasionally overnight stays will be required as part of the role.
