Job Description

An exciting role has arisen for estate manager at Lough Cutra Estate. The ideal candidate will have experience in the day to day running of an estate but is also commercially minded and can work off their own initiative. The bandwidth of the role is wide: the estate manager will oversee the property management on the estate (including lettings), farm and forestry management, and to an increasing degree event management. Being highly personable, a problem solver and not afraid to roll your sleeves up will be vital.

  • Management of Clients (castle lets, cottage short term lets, check ins / check outs)
  • Event Management (e.g. festivals, sporting events corporate & weddings). Be the point of contact for the event organisers and have the estate’s best interest at heart.
  • Managing rent collection, budget planning, cashflow modelling and reporting.
  • Generating New business – building out the current revenue streams the estate has and looking for areas of opportunity for new revenue.
  • Agricultural – establish good rapport with local farmers and graziers.
  • Day to day management of staff on the estate: weekly check ins, onboarding.

What’s important to us

  • Great written and communication skills, a high degree of common sense and an unparalleled integrity.
  • Farming experience including forestry would be a bonus but not essential
