Bidwells are looking for a Graduate Rural Surveyor or a newly or part-qualified Rural Surveyor to support our busy team of Rural Surveyors in Oxford.

The Rural team in Bidwells manages, consults and offers strategic advice on over 1 million acres of farmland and estates across the country, working with some of the UK's top-performing rural businesses including individuals, trusts, colleges, charities and companies. They undertake a wide variety of work so need a proactive individual to support them on a day to day basis.

What You’ll Do:

You will get the opportunity to work on some impressive projects with some really great clients, particularly working with our institutional and investment clients. You'll get involved with everything, including, but not limited to:

•         Assisting with professional work such as: valuations, diversification projects, renewable energy schemes, grant sourcing, business plans, compulsory purchase/utility schemes, landlord and tenant matters, farm and rural estate agency, farmland investment and development schemes.

•         Assisting in general estate and farm management

•         Property management and maintenance

•         Creating and updating reports, inputting agreements, carrying out rent reviews, managing tenants' rents

If the successful candidate is a Graduate, you’ll also be enrolled on our 2-year graduate development programme which will focus on personal effectiveness and impact, commercial and financial awareness and client delivery skills. This will develop you beyond your current technical expertise, building a strong foundation for your career in the property sector. 

•         Part One: a programme which will see you become involved in a range of skill development activities and networking opportunities, not just with other graduates, but with key senior stakeholders too

•         Part Two: RICs APC preparation programme

It is important to us that you have a cognate or non-cognate degree and work experience within the property sector. You can either be a recent Graduate from University, part qualified or fully chartered. You will need to be able to work well in a team that prides itself on not only its professionalism but also its energy and enthusiasm.
