Bidwells is looking for an Agribusiness Administrator to support its busy team of Agribusiness Consultants in Cambridge.

The wider Rural team at Bidwells manages, consults, and offers strategic advice on over 1 million acres of farmland and estates across the country, working with some of the UK's top-performing rural businesses including individuals, trusts, colleges, charities, and investment funds. We undertake a wide variety of work so need a proactive individual to provide support on a day-to-day basis. Within our Rural division, our Agribusiness team manage a portfolio of nearly 50,000 acres of farming from the Humber estuary to the south coast and you will be working on one of the largest portfolios of operational farming in Britain.

The administrator will get involved with a wide variety of activities:

Working with the Partners in the Agribusiness team, you will be responsible for the administration of a prestigious farming business, which will include preparing budgets, cash-flows, cropping schedules and farm plans.  You will also be undertaking diary management and inbox monitoring as well as typing up reports, minutes and emails.  

We are looking for someone who has

  • Familiarity with basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Advanced Excel 
  • Ability to prioritise your workload and someone who can work in a pro-active manner
  • A confident communication style with an assertive nature 
  • It would be beneficial if you have an interest in / background in practical farming.  What is more important for us is your work ethic and experience of working in a busy administrative type role.
