Summary

We are looking for a qualified rural practice chartered surveyor with the ability to bring an innovative, client focussed and entrepreneurial approach and excellent technical skills together with a real passion for joined up asset management.

You will be working throughout across the south-east of England and will have the choice of being based at any of our four consultancy hubs; Scotney Castle in Kent, Wisley in Surrey, Saunderton in Buckinghamshire or Micheldever in Hampshire where you will work alongside a range of professionals providing specialist services to our properties. Equally this role will provide able opportunity to get out to the special places that we look after and to work with our teams based on properties and directly with our tenants.

Your time will be split between the office (your choice of Micheldever, Saunderton, Wisley or Scotney Castle) and NT properties across the London South East region

What you'll be doing
As part of this team, you will provide insightful advice, excellent client care and superlative stakeholder management to help our properties achieve sustainable, forward thinking approaches to managing and conserving our assets. You will bring a range of skills, and an ability to learn and share to ensure we safeguard and effectively manage our built assets and interests in land. You will be involved in delivering a range of work, which on a day to day basis might include residential and commercial lettings; agricultural tenancies; management of grants, HLS and BPS; woodland management; access rights and boundary disputes; management of restrictive covenants; valuations; and occasional acquisitions and disposals. Most importantly, we need you to be an effective and convincing champion of best practice who brings new thinking and novel approaches to whatever work you turn your hand to.

Who we're looking for
In order to be successful in this role you will have:
•Practical knowledge and experience of rural land and property management, including agriculture, conservation, residential, commercial and public amenity
•Up to date understanding of the current issues within the rural sector
•Appreciation for the need for innovative solutions
•Confidence interpreting legal documentation and a variety of data sources and using your findings to influence colleagues
•Analytical, methodical and organised approach to your work and time management
•Excellent people skills, adept at listening, building trust or negotiating, you make things happen and get things done
•You will be a qualified member of RICS or CAAV
A driving licence is essential. Your time will be split between the office (your choice of Micheldever, Saunderton, Wisley or Scotney Castle) and NT properties across the London South East region
