Our team of chartered surveyors, land agents, estate agents, valuers, auctioneers, expert witnesses and rural business consultants provide property and business advice throughout Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and the East and West Midlands.

We have a great opportunity for a qualified agricultural surveyor to join the rural team of our well established, independent, firm of surveyors in the centre of Lincoln.  Ideally with 3 – 4 years’ experience the role of Rural Surveyor offers a large degree of autonomy and the opportunity for career progression.  Your role as Rural Surveyor will be to provide advice to a well-established client base of mainly owner occupiers and tenants. With a good knowledge of the Lincolnshire and East Midlands area you may currently be working at a level where you have reached your optimum for advancement.  Join this friendly team where you can have a genuine opportunity to be offered career progression to partnership following your success in the role.

Key Responsibilities – Rural Surveyor:

  • Provide advice to Landlords and Tenants
  • Value properties and give development advice
  • Undertake rural sales and purchases
  • Provide advice on practical implementation to rural property of legislation, regulation and agricultural/rural schemes
  • Negotiate in business and landowner disputes
  • Advise on general landownership matters
  • Maintain excellent relationships with clients and colleagues

Personal Specification – Rural Surveyor:

  • Full membership of RICS and ideally CAAV
  • Self-motivated
  • Practical knowledge and experience of rural land and property management
  • Up to date understanding of current issues within the rural sector
  • Confident interpreting legal documentation from a variety of data sources, using this to develop practical, workable solutions for clients
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with tenants and owners
  • High level of attention to detail
