To help achieve our objective of equipping Defence with a smaller, more efficient and better-quality estate we are seeking motivated and suitably qualified Rural Surveyors to join and lead established teams within our Estates Directorate network.

You will be responsible for delivering challenging and varied Rural surveying outputs, services and subject matter expert advice across all customers.

Responsibilities of the role will include;
•    Assist Senior Rural Surveyor with the management of training areas and ranges. Both freehold and leasehold property with a number of full agricultural tenants and Licensee and commercial tenants
•    Consultation with local authorities, Natural England, Environment Agency, and the general public, as well as DIO colleagues covering the full scope of estate management needed on this unique and varied estate.
•    Advising on estate rationalisation opportunities including identification of potential disposal opportunities.
•    Working alongside DIO and military colleagues managing the training requirement and safe place to train

The Estates Directorate helps underpin MOD’s operational capability by delivering a comprehensive, strategic and uniquely varied estate surveying service in support of Military outputs, both in the UK and Overseas.
