Job description:

The large and varied holding Estate is looked after by an in-hand team based in modern offices, and this position provides a vital role in assisting the Estate’s Land Agent.  The Estate comprises agricultural land, woodland, sporting activities, residential dwellings, mineral interests, and a rural and urban commercial portfolio, together with significant developments in and around the market town of Grantham.  Specific work assigned to this role includes:

  • Lettings, rent reviews and lease renewals on the agricultural, residential, commercial, leisure, grazing and miscellaneous properties
  • Handling peripheral tenancy matters arising from the residential portfolio
  • Assisting in the management of the estate forestry operations and sporting department
  • Updating and use of the Property Management database and Mapping software
  • Ancillary work in relation to any of the estate enterprises, for example: inspection of repair works, chasing debtors, end of tenancy claims, Land Registry queries, measurement of buildings etc.

The above is however far from exhaustive as the interests in land and projects are so diverse: potentially no task on the Estate is outside the scope of the role.


Competitive but dependent on experience. An estate cottage will be provided.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • A well organised individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Previous experience with mapping software and a property management system would be beneficial.
  • The position would suit a recently qualified RICS surveyor or someone with similar land management experience.
  • Full UK driving licence
