About the CAAV

The CAAV was formed in 1910 by representatives of local valuers’ associations to provide a national organisation with professional authority to represent valuers and ensure professional standards.

Long established experience, enthusiasm and forward-looking members have maintained the nationally recognised status of the CAAV.

CAAV Intro Image

The CAAV represents valuers and provides advice on a wide variety of matters affecting the countryside to Government in Westminster, Whitehall, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Brussels, including CAP reform, farm tenancies and agri-environment schemes. This places the CAAV at the forefront when briefing members on issues, assisting them to be in the best position to advise clients on current developments.

The CAAV maintains close contact with organisations representing rural interests, as well as other professional bodies, and works jointly with these organisations providing input on the many issues raised for the countryside in these rapidly changing times.
